The emergency button provides a quick way to contact emergency services or your loved ones in the event of distress.
🆘 In the event of an emergency, tap on the button to alert either the security or your pre-assigned Emergency Contacts.
What happens if I press on the ‘Notify Security’ button?
Tapping the ‘Notify Security’ button sends an alert to an external security company. The security company will attempt a callback to your Grab-registered mobile number, and if necessary, escalate the matter to the Police.
Please only use this button if there is an urgent need for assistance, e.g. if you or your driver are in danger. ⚠️
What happens if I trigger an alert to my Emergency Contacts during a Grab ride?
Your Emergency Contacts will receive an SMS alert from Grab (with your ride details) indicating that you’ve triggered the Emergency button.
In which language will the SMS alert be sent to my Emergency Contacts?
The SMS alert will follow your phone’s language setting and it's compatible with English, Bahasa Melayu, and Simplified Chinese.
