If your trip has ERP or other surcharges, you will pay more than the originally displayed fare.
For some new promotions, the original fare will show as crossed out and will be visible above the newly displayed fare.
For your fare breakdown, open your email receipt, and on the bottom right corner you will find the Receipt Summary. Your original fare will be displayed as Ride Fare, with Promotion displaying your discount amount, while ERP and other surcharges are found in Tolls & Others.
To check surcharges that may apply at time of booking, tap on service type and on the top right of your screen.
For example, JustGrab and GrabCar surcharges include:
- Toll charges (ERP / Sentosa) incurred from pick-up point to destination
- Additional waiting time ($3 for every 5 minutes)*
- Additional stops / additional distance ($5 per stop / per 5 km up to a maximum of 3 stops)**
- Booster seat use ($2 per seat on each ride, limited to one child only)***
For GrabHitch, ERP fees are not included in the fare and they will typically be borne by your driver, unless you have agreed to share the cost.
Let us know, after checking your service type booking surcharges and your email receipt, if you still believe you were incorrectly charged a surcharge.
